Salem, Massachusetts

The “Haunted Happenings” celebration in the month of October. The little city comes alive with fireworks, parades, costume contests and visitors from all of the world.

Visitors can explore the Salem Witch Museum at 310 1/2 Essex St, Salem, MA 01970. No parking so beware of where you park your car, or it might get towed.

Dublin, Ireland Some say the Samhain ceremonies started in Ireland, though there are debates.

The Irish knows how to throw a party, and Halloween is no exception! Dublin is a city that can be eerie on any given day, with its towering Gothic cathedrals and there glooming days.

At the trim Castle (Braveheart Castle) the ancient pagan festival of Samhain comes upon us. The Púca Festival celebrates the ancient traditions of Samhain and welcomes the strange and mischievous creatures that come forth.


Meanwhile, the heritage town of Trim and its stunning castle grounds provide a Halloween spectacle with illuminated castle walls and the “Arrival of the Spirits” procession on 29 October, as well as four nights of music, comedy, fire and feasting.
